We put up the site on a new domain with hopes to measure the effectiveness of our changes but have had no listing in serps. The person we had design the page and dynamic content now suggests we host the new site on our current domain as well as the new one to see if there were any changes.
I've read alot in these forums about "the sandbox" and am wondering if this is what happened with the new domain and as such am keen to transfer the new design to our older domain and scrap the new domain.
Our currently active site on this domain has a page rank of 6 according to the G-Toolbar so if the newer design gets indexed quicker with better SO design on this domain it would be good.
But my boss also wants to use the newer domain(as it has been paid for) and have it forwarded to the old domain. Will this be seen as duplication in googles eyes or can it discern that it is being forwarded.
I my self am not a webmaster so forgive me if this question is a school boys error.
