Many people talk about how often the Google Bot visits their site. How do you find this out? Is their a URL to check it?

The only way I notice is when I change my <meta description> information and it takes effect on Google.

This information is held in your server logs, you can view it using many third party log analyzer. If you do not have access to your server logs, then you can get hold of another third party stats package by searching online for something along the lines of 'free website stats' or something similar.
