G Sitemap Question

Will G crawl other pages as well?

Hi all,

maybe someone using G sitemaps has an answer to this:
If I submit my Sitemap to Google will it still follow in-site links from the pages or will Goggle just spider the pages in the sitemap.

Also: can I submit a sitemap hosted on domain x for pages of domain y?

Just checking... I case both of this was true someone could severly damage competitors rating...
