After I started using Google Sitemaps, I noticed a very strange Googlebot Behviour. It keeps downloading my homepage 100+ times in the course of a single day, and I do not notice new pages being downloaded any faster.
The new bot (the one that downloads my sitemap) also seems to be downloading very old pages that are definitely not in my sitemap or linked on my site any longer.
Any suggestions?
