I know checking backlinks on google isnt perfect. It shows only "section" of the real number and type of links. But I notice on a few competitor sites that many "backlinks" are basically sub sections of the same site linking ot his homepage (nomral navigation methods) ; now how can that count as a backlink? And other then the section index pages, there are several pages of his own site as well. How do i remove this? and why does Googel show it? My site does not show my own pages when I search for backlinks. It did once upon a time though.
