Using IFRAMES to reduce links for Google optimization

A way to avoid devaluation by Google for too many links?

If Google have devalued PR and SERP rankings for sites with too many outbound links, wouldn't this be an easy solution?

What if you kept all you important links on your main-page, and moved all non SEO relevant links to other pages, which you then included on your main-page with IFRAMES?

Wouldn't this satisfy Google's taste for pages with relatively few outbound links? Are there any bad SEO effects with the use of IFRAMES?
