Don't know if anyone has had a similar experience, but someone came to me with a site that has traditionally been very strong in Google (as well as MSN & Yahoo). Hundreds of earned top rankings, solid backlinks, and strong popularity. Their DNS host went away. The site was down for a couple days and was completely dropped by Google. It cannot even be found by url.

My question is, with the strength the site had over the past 8 years up until about a week ago, will it be reindexed quickly due to the past or will Google view this as a completely new site (since it is not even pulling up the url). Any thoughts are greatly appreciated...Brass
