Not having python at your web server? Got confused on how on earth to use Google's sitemap generator for your site? No problem. Just use one of the easy ways to create a Google sitemap:

I was held back by not knowing about such third party alternatives, but now that I've found them, I'll give it a spin, specially that G has been reluctant to index changes to my site as fast as I'd liked. Now I can check and see if there is a real difference in speed of indexing.

Anyone knows after how long the submitted map page appears in google cache?
24 hours / 48 hours /7 days?
I know it spdiers then immeditely as after i submitted i see their robot downloaded apx same time because in my stats it shows submitted 14 hours ago / downloaded 14 hours ago successfully. But how long does it takes them to show submitted site?

and shafaki i liked yr post of today about artifical intellgence, and i think you did a great job in yr article, don't worry about the criticism because i think you said each and every word right and that exactly thier algo works.

Hey please let me know about time google actually shows submitted site map in their cache.

buyingsites, google doesn't put the sitemap into their index. The site map contains the URLs of all your other pages so google can find them easier and insert those pages into its index.

I recently launched a site and submitted my site map to google about 2 months ago, and today I can see that they are indexing my page from the site map.

Google downloads the site map file itself twice a day like clock work.

It took my site 2 months, i couldn't say how long it will take for your site. It seems fairly random at this point on how long it will take.

You want to know how long does it take to be indexed? Here is the FIXED number given by Google:
[google.com...]

As I said before, there is no such things as fixed numbers when it comes to google algos.
