I am looking into buying a domain name. The site has a little information on it. The site has not be spidered / cached by Google since January. Will this be a problem for me? I am looking into getting rid of all their site / info., and starting my own, but will it be hard to be updated by Google?

Is it showing any toolbar page rank? Not that it means much, but it's one of the few indicators you have.
If it's clean I would go ahead aquire it, change hosts and submit through Google sitemaps.

It does not show any page rank. It's last cache was in January and does not look like it has has had any changes. I like the name and want to create my own site, but do not want to be stuck with a site that is penalized / sandboxed.

Does it show up at all in any serps?

Is the toolbar white or gray? It's not a perfect test, but if it's white then it should be OK to use.

The toolbar is white, and Google does not show any back links for the site. How can I check their serps?

Google the domain name.

It seems ok to me.
