Why has only Home Page lost its Ranking?

Everything else about the same!

Can anyone explain why the latest PR update has blotted my home page from PR6 to a white bar, when all the other pages seem about right (ranging from PR5 down, with little change)? More worrying, link:domain name 'did not match any documents' any more - although other pages show backlinks. What ever is going on? Please tell me. Do I panic now?
Nothing drastic has been done to the site at all. I have had good rankings for years (PR7, PR8, PR7, then a settled PR6 is the approx history of the home page over a couple of years, reflecting general trends). Google Directory still shows PR6 (unless my eyes deceive me). Still DMOZ listed (although the linking page has dropped from 7 to 6).
Is there still a transient status that leaves me some hope of the HP ranking returning in a few days? I wouldn't care, except my advertisers seem to for some strange reason! This will not impress them.
Anything I can do? Any point in contacting Google?
Thanks for any wisdom! :-(

It may just be Google's toolbar. One of my web sites had a PR of 7 and then it was white bar, but after two weeks it returned to a PR of 7, than went to 6 and then back up. The PR in the toolbar isn't reliable and hasn't been stable for a while now, so don't hit the panic button just yet and wait to the next PR update and see how things go from there. Also I wouldn't contact Google, they won't you, they don't care about your ranking/PR problems.
