Recently I converted my dynamic pages of my gift website to .htm pages. Google search results still show pages with older URL. How much time it’ll take to update google index? Is there any method to delete them from the index manually?

Google's webmaster section describes their implementation of Robots Exclusion Protocol (with extensions) and the automatic removal tool:

I'm trying to do some cleanup work on G's index using the URL console. It said it'll take max 5 days to process my requests - well, 5 days are over now and still everything is pending.

How long did it take for you guys to get a result?

I have been trying to use the URL removal tool for the past several weeks with all requests denied.

I have been trying to use the URL removal tool for the past several weeks with all requests denied.

I noticed that a request will be "denied" if it overlaps another pending request. For example, if you submit a robots.txt file with "Disallow: /stuff" then you submit a request to remove a specific URL such as "http://domain.com/stuff/whatever.html". The URL removal request will be denied because the URL matches the line in the robots.txt.

I have not added any of these URLs in the robots.txt. All the files are returning 404 Object Not Found.
