Caching Old Site, After New Site Was Cached

we recently launched an entirely new ecommerce site, and have been trying to fight back from getting dropped by google several months ago. The new site was suppose to be the first step in the recovery.

One week after the new site launch we noticed google cached our new site. whoohoo

But today, I noticed google has re-cached the old site homepage? and has it dated Mar 2...The old site doesn't exist anymore - how could this be happening?

To share the load, Google have many servers in several datacentres.

Often, you can find a newer part of the index and then later an older one.
