Hi All!

My question is this: I am adding pages, many pages, to a webste. Previously google indexed 500 pages. When it came back it crawled about 250 additional pages that I had added (out of several thousand)

So it seems like the are looking at how many they have currently indexed, and indexing 1/2 of that amount in new pages on their next crawl.

I wondering if this will continue this way until they are all indexed?

I ask because I've got them coming back every other day now and crawling us, and we are chaging to a ColdFusion/php site with xml and rss, and will probably have over 100,000 pages.

I felt that if I got Google to index more and more pages, and it sees that I am adding more on a regular basis (I added 5000 pages), that it will be in the habit of indexing a lot of pages. Then when I launch the new site it will pick-up all the pages much quicker.

Any feedback gurus?
