Google Listings With Spaces in URLs

Hello,

I'm long time lurker but after glass of Bourbon i decided to join ;)

I have strange thing going from some time. Google is indexing my pages this way:
www.example.com/widget.html
www.example.com/ widget.html (notice the space).

I have triple checked source code, there is no way i have "space" or "new line" anywhere in ahref.

Guys any suggestions? Google is indexing every page on my site twice and as we know this is very very bad.

Of course yahoo and msn are doing their job better than google in that case.

Historically Google has ocassionally displayed urls with a space in them on their serps. This does not necessarily prove you are penalized. I haven't seen them list www.example.com/widget.html & www.example.com/ widget.html in the same serp. Are you seeing that or are you just seeing Google sometimes adding a space to the url on the serp? Also are your Google referrals dropping?

The space is added by google for display purposes only. Its to stop the URL stretching the document width in the browser.
