I recently added / got indexed by google with my first page containing code behind with ASP.net. I have other sites which use other techniques, but as i'm learning ASP.net, i thought why not take advantage of a few of its updateable features. Does anyone know if google reads a code behind aspx file as it would a normal site, i gathered it would due to the fact that the spider will render into HTML right? It's just that this is the only site that google has only indexed the first page, nothing else.

I have a site all done with asp.net & code behind. Google has indexed all of it no problems. Do you have some links from sites with a decent PR (PR5+)? I have about 150 pages, 95% were indexed within a week of a PR5 link (which I put up on launch day).

I've not sorted out a majority of the page links yet, of an external source that is. Would you recommend using code behind or aspx files in general?

Either code behind or code in the aspx, no search engine will reach it.
They just read the rendered HTML output.

Thats ok then. Must just be this funny thing going on with google lately. When did it get so confusing? It used to be quite easy and simple.

Thanks

Websites dont show ASP code.
ASP outputs HTML.
SE reads the HTML.

There's nothing confusing or difficult. Sounds like the problem is to do with your site, sorry to say. Google has absolutely no problem with .aspx.
