Same value for links in PDFs?

i was wondering whether G consider a same value for a link comming from a html and from a PDF or word doc.

Normally PDF are important documents, people take it time to produce them, etc..

what dou you think?
any test?

No solid testing, but they do follow the links in PDFs.

There is one incident that leads me to believe those links pass PR, as it was the only link I could find that could have done it. But I could have missed another one, so I would not declare it to be true with any certainty.

I do not recall ever seeing a PDF listed as a backlink. It doesn't mean that they aren't, it just means that I haven't seen it.

It does seem to me that it is unlikely that they would put significant effort into using different valuations for links from PDFs when the easiest thing to do would be to just plug them in to the same formulas as the links from HTML documents.

well i just started a test:

from 1 domain i link to 4 documents under the same domain like:

/#*$!2005.pdf
/xxx2004.htm
/xxx2003.doc
/xxx2002.xls

inside each document there is a lik to another just created very similar 4 html pages under a second domain.

Lets see the results in some days...
