Google search brings up extra pages

Seems one of Googles new innovations are driving me batty!

Everytime I search for something and click on a site it opens in a smaller window and Google results stays behind it. Click on another, or a link off that site and yet another window with google sitting happiely behind it. Do a new search? fine but the old search is just sitting there behind the new search, behind the website etc, etc. waiting to be closed. Grrr

Spent a long time searching my IE setup thinking I may have something checked wrong but nooo...

Just to be sure it was Google and not my browser I tried it with Yahoo and it worked like always, don't like the site? Just back button back to Yahoo.

I hate closing all those windows. They have not made it easier imho but just more aggravating.

I always liked Google but I will have to use Yahoo from now on as, like I said, I detest closing 3 or 4 windows when I am done with the search.
