Hi fellow experts,

I am a newbie to SEO, but I have seen yahoo's and google's bot crawling most of my pages but when i search for pages indexed by Google/Yahoo via "site:www.domain.com" , only my homepage turns up. Any advice on how I can get my other pages to be indexed too?

Are you using frames?

If not ensure your internal links all work. Robots will follow them.

Indexing isn't instant.

Copy the title of one of the other pages and paste it in Google search.

Does it come up?

How far you you looking in Google, at which page do you stop looking?

Is the title on that page different to the title on your index?

For google, get another decent link to your home page (PR5-7) and for Yahoo, try some deep links.

If it is a new site it will take some time before Google will index more, maybe a week. And none of my sites has been indexed more than just the homepage from Yahoo. So I guess it is more harder from Yahoo.

What will help you to get more sites indexed is to get more links to your sites. 2 is not enough. Get hundreds, if possible. Also get those with as high PR as possible.

Then, if you have a lot of pages, use a site map. If you have a site map the SE's, and the user, can reach all the pages on your sites with only 2 clicks.

Hope this helps.

As I said "Indexing isn't instant. "

Follow the advice here, there's no Lorenzo's Oil cure, if you've been spidered and your SEO is good, you'll get listed...in time.
