Yahoo vs MSN vs Google

What to do next

My website ranks No 1 in MSN and No 2 in Yahoo for my main keyword/phrases. In Google however, the site is not in the first 30 pages (this is how far I checked).

I am aware that high ranking in MSN and Yahoo is much easier, however the fact that my site is nowhere to be seen in Google is confusing for me. It would have been understandable if it ranks No 20 or No 120 in Google.

I have submitted my site to DMOZ however there is no result so far (after 1 year).

The big question is, and this is what I hope you guys to share with me, what to do next so I make a breakthrough in Google. I am prepared to spend some money for a period of time, but would not like to pay forever in order to be present in Google. Any suggestions and experience will be appreciated.
