Google referrals went down by 95% for our site in this bourbon update. (Pretty serious since we used to get 6000 uniques a day from Google and $25k a month from adsense and everything is now down to almost zero!)

While analyzing one potential cause, I am finding that for a lot of searches, obsolete "supplemental result" urls from our site are being returned above our current existing urls. Most of these old urls are those where we had changed the format of the url about 6 months back, replacing %20 in the url to underscore.

For example:

www.example.com/url%20path/a.htm - Supplemental result

Moreover, sometimes the second url (The expected one) is not even returned unless "repeat the search with the omitted results included" is clicked on.

We return the same page for the first and the second (So I am worried whether google interprets this as a duplicate), but I am assuming that since google marks the first as supplemental, it is recognized correctly that the first is obsolete (we don't have any internal links pointing to that url format anymore).

Thanks in advance for your analysis and thoughts.
