Am I the last one to know that Google has launched a Web Analytics service or what!

We've recently acquired the San Diego-based web analytics company Urchin Software, and look forward to providing the tools that will benefit not only website owners and advertisers but ultimately every web surfer.

It looks to me with time that google want a closer contact to webmasters for the good and bad. I use Urchin myself its a great tool thats for sure.
