i changed my hosting sever and pagerank dropped from 4-5 to 2.

what could be the possible causes for this and how do i findout which one it is.

If anyone thinking that the new sever ip is blacklisted, its got other websites hosted that have pagerank 4+.

heard from an SEO about de-ranking your opponents websites to rank their site higher, does this happen? is it possible?

just trying to look at all the causes that could have got my pagerank to drop, need help please!

If your site is in google with the same result dont care about the pagerank no one else does.

It may just be a coincidence that your page dropped when you changed servers. Several other people including me have reported a recent page rank drop.

But the point is true that if you are still doing as well in search engine results it really doesn't matter.

for my experience, hosting can influence the ranking in Google, but not the PR.

If the PR drop is a problem, I think you must search in another place

PR was recently updated anyway, wasn't it?
