I have checked my links on bruce clay's site link checker.
I have PR 4 sites linking to me from the same person (not sure if same server or IP?) but anyway Yahoo and MSN counts them all but Google is counting none of them.
Why is this? Do they know that it's from the same person? Possibly with somewhat similar content? Are they all that similar.... they are region specific sites for a business that is branched out. I can't understand why google does not like these. When this happens is it just an omission by them as if they just won't count it toward my PR or do you think that is actually penalizing my entire site from better SE ranks?
Finally should I eliminate these even though I will most likely take a hit in Yahoo and MSN for it? Or would you just leave one of them to the main site and do away with all the others? Craziest thing is this guy is number one in google for his specific industry you'd figure it'd be a good link.
Does the link have to be industry related to mine?
I look forward to your responses
Thanks
Google only shows a few back links that it knows about. The link: search is just a snapshot.

Google may love them.
>do you think that is actually penalizing my entire site from better SE ranks?
No, at worst they will be ignored but links to your site will never harm you.

Definately not.
>Does the link have to be industry related to mine?
They are the best links you can get.
