Suddenly, Googlebot Stops Crawling New Pages

It crawls all old pages every single day.

If and when this makes it to the Google forum (if it does at all) I may be a very confused person!

For two weeks now, Googlebot crawls every already crawled and indexed page on my site. I would have been very happy about this, but it has not shown any interest in the 40 - odd pages of content that is linked to from the homepage, and several section pages of my site. Those pages have been untouched for 2 weeks now.

My site is a pretty active content site with static pages, and till now, all new pages used to get into Google within a week or max, ten days.

2 weeks may not be enough time to panic, and I am not panicking yet - but I am confused as to why this sudden turning away from new content while old content is repeatedly refreshed.

(The site has a very good amount of backlinks to homepage as well as sections and story pages, and shows up very well indeed in SERPS for all its indexed pages)

I would be grateful for any advice. :-)
