So I see all this stuff about PR5 PR0 etc. How do I find out the rank of my site?

The google toolbar shows a little green bar called page rank, hover over that and it will tell you. Don't get hung up on it though.

Download the Google ToolBar and activate the "Advanced Features" (I think that's what it's called).

You can also check a sites pagerank without downloading the google toolbar. I don't want to post the url if it is against the tos - just do a search on google for "pagerank without google" or "pr lookup".

Ok so it says my site is pr5. How often does it update? A link was just dropped from a big name music group website that was pr6 (they added their own store) and I've noticed all of a sudden that I went from the first page of a lot of google search results to who knows where.

My traffic has about cut in half as well although my sales have not dropped so drastically as that. I've been a lurker for a while and just sort of observing but this is a hard hit.

Anyway not looking for sympathy just trying to solve the problem and maybe doing a little venting.

Thank you all so much for the help. I found a site that offers a free web tool that was very useful.

I did however see that other very low pr sites seem to rank pretty high for some of the search terms I am after.

Any ideas?
