I have notice a redirect link in the search result from any keyword.
The link seems to only track the position of it.

The redirect link look like this http://www.google.ca/url?sa=U&start=1&q=http://www.google.com/&e=9888

But I saw that only when I use Mozilla and google.ca?
Not with Explorer, Safari or firefox and not with other country domain.

The number e=9888 is always the same (I have try a lot of keyword before post.)
start=1 equal the position of the link in the page.
q= is the link found on that postion.

Does anybody have clue about google want to test some tracking feature?

Also, Why in this url, gg don't try to track the keyword?

here is a search phrases you can try.

http://www.google.com/search?q=google+click+through+counter [google.com].

Dig around in some of those - there are threads going back to 2000 about g counting click throughs sporaticially.
