Advice Before I Nuke

Would appreciate advice before I nuke URLs...

Site has dupe listing problems, due to old 302 problems AND old htaccess pointing.

NOW all offending, non-used URLs point straight to godaddy.

Google still lists pages under old URLs with old cached versions, and I suspect causing ranking problems.

Was about Nuke URLs with listing removal tool, and got timid:
- anything associated with this URL
might backfire?

- cached version only
Will that take care of the problem?

Is it safe to push the button? Advice appreciated.
