Several fellow members have mentioned that the number of backlinks shown using Yahoo are much higher that those shown using Google. Some have mentioned 10 times or more.
Whats the reason for that huge difference?
Could it be that Google is just showing a figure related to the value of total backlinks and accordingly listings specific backlinks in accordance with specific factors and variables.
For example, lets assume that you get 9.300 backlinks on Yahoo and only 120 backlinks on Google. Could it be that Google end to that figure using an equation:
Backlinks shown (120) = actual number of backlinks (9.300) multiplied/divided by factor X
Where factor X might include one or several variables multiplied/divided by each other.
