changing link text & description

Hi,
when i'm looking for my site in google i have the text link and the short description, right?
my question is how can i change the link text or the description.

Hi

The link text is the title of your page as defined in the title meta tag. Look at your source code at the top.

The description is a snippet from your page which contains the search phrase... (difficult to control what they show)

If the search phrase is not on your page but you appear in a results page anyway (perhaps your site will qualify because of relevant links in) then google uses the meta description tag or sometimes a dmoz description (if you are listed with them).
