I need help.

I'm operating the home based business website. I have ever get link in google about 10 pages. But one day I delete my frontpage index.html and change it to be index.php. I did this because I use the require() script from php to insert my navigator bar into all of my page. Once I update my navigator bar, all of my page will chage.

After I deleted the index.html page. Google is going to remove my page out from their database. Now I left only 2 pages in google.

In this time, I change my front page to be index.html again and hope google will come to spider my page again. And I going to do the reciprocal link too.

Any one think this will help me to get list in google again or I need to register the new domain name.

Anybody here have any suggestion?

I need help. Please

Google records a url address: if you change index.html with index.php it recognize completely a different url address.
So it's normal to loose your SERP results in this case.
When you change page extension from .html to .php for example, you should do a setting on your server (.htaccess or mod_rewrite file) that allows the robots to recognize also the new extension.
Look and ask at the Apache Web Server forum.

Hi spector,

Thank for your response. In this case, I changed my page back to index.html already.

Have you any suggestion for me to solve this problem? Do you think doing the link exchange will help?

Sure.Google and other SEs find your site just trough links.
The fact that you came back to the .html extension doesn't mean nothing for SE that already deleted your SERPs and will have to recognize you again.
So repeat submissions and get good inbound links.
