Google PR of Index is Less Than Internal Pages?

How to improve the PR of home page?

The google page rank of my home page is less than the other pages of my website while I have seen in most of the website the home page has higher rank than its other pages. anybady please tell me whats the reason.

how can I improve the page rank of home page?

Do all the pages of your website link back to home page? That's why homepages normally have the highest PR on a site.

It could also be that people linking to your site are perhaps linking to some of your internal pages, rather than to your homepage.

why?

imo high pr internal pages can be of much greater value than a high pr home page
