Hi,

I am new to search engine optimization.I am working on a new site which is a month old.Recently i have changed the title, meta keywords and meta description tag.But after this the new title and description is not appearing when searched in google with the keywords site:www.example.com.

It would be very kind if anybody helps me out.

Thanks,
Mary

It would take a while for the changes to appear in the search engines.

The changes would be reflected when your site will be next indexed.

best of luck...

There is not much that can be done in the short term.

After your website gets a really good ranking, and if google sees that updates are done frequently, then you will be indexed faster. In the meanwhile, you just have to wait...

I heard the more you update the pages the faster Google indexes the page.Is it true. Please Clarify.

Mary,

to get your site indexed faster and deeper you need to get more links from other well established sites. A good move is to get links not only to the homepage but also to deeper pages.

Sites with higher PageRank and good links are always spidered often and deeper.

And yes, when you update your content regularly, the bots will notice that and come by often to see whats new, but i doubt that it will help to index the deeper pages.

There has been extensive discussion of title and description not appearing. Only url being shown.
No one has a credible answer and responses from inquiries to Google are non enlightening.
Google apparently has a problem and they are
not talking.

This will be really hard as it is an extremely competitive market. I would probably recommend you to find a niche more than anything else.
Travel, Loan and gambling are supposed to be the 3 hardest markets...

I'm having a similar issue, the problem is that it seems to be spreading network wide and I'm wondering what it could be. A few months ago, I noticed one site with this issue, now over 70% of my sites are showing this problem...

Normal Result:

Meta Title
Decrition text blah, blah, blah, blah...
www.their-domian.com - Xk - Cached - Similar pages

My Result:

my-sad-sites.com/
Similar pages

They're been punishing all my sites one way or the other since September, 2004 and there is ZERO spam, good content, and very good PR.

I'm wondering if my buggy server could be at fault? I caught them in serveral major gaffs recently including failure to install reverse DNS for my email which was causing me to loose numerous clients. Could this Google indexing issue be something at our end that we're missing?
