Should I blog or just add text to mydomain.com?

I am starting to wonder if I should blog at all.

In the excitement of seeing my blogs picked up by google I am wondering if I should just add all that text to new pages on my new main mydomain.com site? (which google picked up on DAY ONE of its being uploaded)

I'm doing "affiliate marketing" so I'm targeting keywords and keyphrases that pick up about 100 to 500 searches a day.

To get to google page 1 and thus get click-throughs for those terms----do you suggest I blog or just add text pages to my main site?

ps...Don't tell me to do both as there are only 24 hours in a day:-)

If you have plenty of text to post I say blog it. Many advantages to blogging if done properly. Organize everything in categories and add entries on a regular basis (daily if possible).
