Ever gone missing from Google for a short time?

Ok, i'm in panic mode right now. My site's main page is missing from the Google index. I can't even search for the main index page URL and find it. It's just gone...POOF...

Just happened a few minutes ago. Was there then it wasn't. All my sub-pages are still in Google. It's just the main index page.

This happened to me last year also, and only lasted for a few hours, then I was back to normal. But, it scared me then as bad as it scares me now.

Is this a normal occurance? Anyone else have this happen?

Well, I'm gonna go have a few gallons of beer now and hope it's back to normal when I return.
