Get Google to totally drop your SERPs and then then it spidered again?

Hey Y'all,

I was reading somewhere that you can get Google to totally drop your SERPs and then then it spidered again? If this is possible, could someone explain how to do this.

Good question. I bought a used domain name and the serps still include dead links that were on the old owner's site. I think you can just email them to say that you're the new site operator and that the old links in the serps are invalid and they'll re-spider... I thought I could just wait until they re-spidered but it appears that they have not removed the old links but simply added the new links in with the old ones.
