Phrase Search Check Box?

Google preferences feature request.

I'd like a new Google preferences setting that is a checkbox option:

Enclose Search Query in Quotes.

I find that lately Google gives me poor results unless I surround my searches with double quotes.

They've changed the phrase weightings in a bad way to make it harder for optimizers, but the results have gone down in quality in the process.

If they could just install this "Enclose Search Query in Quotes" checkbox and make the default checked, I think they'd have happier customers (i.e. searchers).

I'm getting tired of typing a query, getting bad results, and then having to go back to add the quotations.
