Google page rank and posting to blogs

been thinking a bit about page rank etc..

and was wondering if this is a good way to get good page rank...

I want to create a niche financial type site...

so in order to get inward bound links.. how bout just posting comments on financial blogs all over the net?

I dont mean spam, I mean useful posts, say one a day... and then I would post my return link to my financial niche site on their blog..

isnt this an excellent way to get top ranking in google?

or do I have this wrong. It seems so simple..
