Feb 3rd, Google referrers drop by 80%

My website used to be on the first page for the relevant keyword on google. I used to have thousands of visitors coming in from google each day.

I never changed any links, nor did I play around with any kind of linking. The site has no hidden content or links and it is all high quality.

I dont link to any link farm sites/ any other bad sites. infact, i have very few outgoing links from my site and those are also good pages on other similar sites.

on the 3rd of February 2005, my google traffic collapsed
and my website is basically dead. just 30% of my original traffic. number of new people registering has also dropped in a similar propotion.

suppose my domain name is 'something.com'. if i search on google for 'something' i have always been at the top. now i am down to 7th. and the said word is not any popular word. no one else uses it except for the sites that link to me. it is not any mis-spelled/anything like that. search for the word return the same number of pages only. the sites linking to me using my name are showing up at the top instead of my site.

since feb 3rd, google visited only yesterday on my homepage. earlier googlebot should always be indexing one of my pages. i used to get just less than 500,000 pages views a month. the numbers have drastically reduced since feb 3rd. maybe only 100,000 this month :(
