Images Showing in a Web Search

I mentioned this in the update thread, but I expect it will get buried, and thought it might deserve a thread of its own.

On a very few one word queries I am seeing a SERP page with a few images at the top, with the heading "See XXX image results for keyword>>"

I have never seen this before. Could certainly leadto some optimazing for images.

Some SERPs showing this - himalaya, siames, collies, andes

Some that don't - alps, bulldog, siamese, rockies

Anyone else seeing this same thing?

Ya - this was mentioned as seen in Sept of last year?
We were talking about it in Vegas...
