How can i save emails in XML file format?

Hi, i need my emails in XML file format. Is there a MUA or maybe a mail client which is able to do something like that? I am on Linux.

XML is simple plain text, with markup in tags, rather than some character-encoded format (unlike Word docs etc).

It should be easy to write something that can parse an email file, and put tags around the relevant parts of the email; but I don't realy se the point.

Is there is recognised schema for such things yet?

Why do you want it this way? What are you trying to do?
