Hi all,

I registered a while back a few domains .com, through a reseller, who I now find has control of the panel etc,(Yes I was naive)

They want to charge 60 euro a go for any changes!

The domains are registered with Domain People, who I have contacted to say that I as the registered owner I want to change the severs and e-mail contact, they have come back and said that I can fax through to them some details and they will do this, and take teh re seller out of the equation, so good!

But I have noticed that my name is mispelt on the who is, not a big difference but not correct!

Domain people have asked for a copy of valid identification included or attached thereto.

I do have the paid receipt for the domains from the reseller showing the domains bought and with the same mispelt name, will this suffice or will I have to explain on a cover what has happened, showing the same address with a driving licence etc..,

Any advice or similar experience?

tell the truth, explain everything that you possibly can about the whole situation.

provide as much proof as possible.

and hope for the best.

Good Luck

Thanks for that Shakil, I just hope it does not get all complicated now.

all domain name transfers are complicated :)

I paid over £2,000 for a .co.uk domain over 6 months ago, and am still waiting for Nominet to process it, forms have been there for months.

Whose email address is shown in the admin contact info? I just went through a similar experience. Here's my thread [webmasterworld.com].

Thanks,

I have decided
For now I just want to get control of the domain, and redirect to a different host.

Still have the same initial problem as the re-seller has the control panle access and will not give access.

>>>Domain people have asked for a copy of valid identification included or attached thereto.

That seems to be your next step. If the mispelling is the same as reciept, you should be okay.(not sure;))
