Can an Acronym be generic

I spent tonight just browsing through available domains with a registration company. I found one that is 4 letters and produces a match on dictionary.com.

The match is to an Acronym, would this be worth purchasing? and if so would it be more valuable than a 4 letter random selection of letters?

The name is quite catchy and I think I will go for it, just looking for some info.

If it is catchy, four letters, and you like it. I would grab it. :)

I agree Lisa, for example, cnn.com, abc.com, fifa.com, and so on.

The key with a totaly new domain where the name has no offline presence or history, is branding.
