I recently aquired a couple of domains and am interented in finding out who (if anyone) previously owned them. Is this possible?

Hi,
sometimes you can find information on Alexa. Ownership data is updated manually by users, so it could be possible that previous owners are still listed as contacts.
Also you may try the wayback machine to find previous versions of your newly accquired domain (never tried it myself).

Second the above about way back machine. I use it quite frequently and it does a nice job. Just do a Google and there are quite a few sites in the returns.
