Starting fresh. Need to build an online store business. Is 123something.com good choice for the domain. We may go for hub and spokes model in due course but right now its the hub which is needed.

Situation is some thing like this.
We need to sell products of a particular category (which is quite broad) in a particular country. The most natural choice is "countrynamecatname.com" but unfortunately and as expected that is taken .. also catnamecountryname.com , countryname-catname.com , catname-countryname.com are taken...all by different people.

None of them is actually built into a site and all are parked. We are thinking of going for 123countrynamecatname.com

Is that a good choice?

Last year 3 seo friends decided to sell a certain product.

I picked 4-that-product.com
She picked 123-that-product.com
And a sly fox picked 121-that product.com

121 kicked our butt in Yahoo!

Thanks Mike .. a very valuable suggestion indeed ;)

Another thing that I was wondering about was .. If I do buy something like 121bluewidgets.com or 123-bluewidgets.com ... I hope there are no legal issues if "bluewidgets.com" is an old and successful e-com site ..
