I'm constantly facing problems, domain availability check-no response after 5 minutes waiting.
Whois no reponse & etc.
Are they always like that?
I was forced to use a proxy to access their site as I think they've banned certain ip range for certain countries esp- China. But now, the thing is I cant get to register any domains through their site. Is there any more reliable & cheaper registrar out there. I remember seeing some at 7 plus but dont know if can be trusted or not.

From my experience GoDaddy behaves differently depending on who you are. They do a lot of sniffing. From what I observe defending your whois records is getting more and more aggressive. Blocking entire IP ranges may be extreme but when you look at it from their point of view. If you receive 2000% higher fraud from a particular Class-A network then it might be a good business decision to block the entire network, even if that means you lose a few customers.

Right now it looks as if Go daddy's site is down. Unless of course they have banned San Francisco as well...LOL

No problem here. Just logged on and it's just as snappy as ever.
