I heard that WLS has been approved but it won't be effective untill 2003..!

Is that true...this page could give some insight...WLS [icann.org]

Wow, That is huge news! WLS vs. Drop-and-Grab. I thought the momentum was against WLS but my suspicions of Verisign cooking the board seems real. Oh well, I had invested in both directions. :) The good old days of fast grabbing are almost over. Live them now before they are gone.

I even read a press release at verisign site, i guess, its still there.

Also, i believe its been appealed..so we'll have to wait and see...!
Okay, if it ever gets effective, is it that all the competetion to snap names will by default shut down ??

We still have until 2003 to play dorp-and-catch lol :) On a more serious note, Dotster's president I *think* was on a holiday when the "special meeting" took place so we might be hearing some protests.

Clint is just a pawn in the game. I don't expect much of a fight from Dotster. GoDaddy is the most legal of all the small registrars. And they don't have a clue about grabbing and WLS.

I think Verisign has won this round.
