I am working on a new web site and was needing some help/suggestions.

Should I get xyzinfo.com or xyzinformation.com or both?

would xyzinfo.com not be good enough, as info is not a complete word [or at least that is *I* think :)], cuz, I do believe that xyzinformation.com would get little bit longer [when xyz is replaced with actual name ;) ]

The target market for this site is *USA*.
I am not selling anything on the site, just a *information* web site.

Any suggestions?

How bout xzy.info??? I would go with xzyinfo.com before the other. Its much shorter and you will probably get less people spelling it wrong. Remember most people cant spell.

Nope, it is taken.

Also, xyz.info .. I am not sure if that would be best from the seo point of view. Also, many people type in .com as default. So I was thinking more like getting a .com and not .info :)

If you're worried about complete words then you need to hyphenate the domain. Use the words you find in your research that people use to find what it is you're offering.

Depending on what the site is, it may be easier to advertise xyz(dot)info. People are into learning things they just need pushed. I am not sure the SEO factor would play much. I still think if its that good a keyword to not give up they xyz.com for 10k he has to be making something off of it. So xyz is a very good keyword, this would be mean they are searching for xyz as much as they are for xyz information? NO?
