Hii,

I assume it takes not more than 50 days for the expired domain to be released again for re-registering...!?

But, today, i was checking for a particular domain, i wanted...when i looked into the whois record for that domain, I wanted, the expiry date was : 22nd.march.2001 ... its almost more than year since it expired...but not yet released...!

Does this happen very often with some registrars...b'cos of not updating the info or is it something else...??

Thanks for feedback in advance
Cheers
:)

The rules on expiring and deleting are very loose at the moment. Yes, it's common (seems to be esp true of netsol) and there are proposals at ICANN which may (or may not) handle it.
