You are all about five step ahead of me. Most of you are based in the states and have been involved in the web for years.
Does anyone, anyone have a clue when NSI's next billing cycle will be and if so, will it result in them releasing the expired domains?
When was the last one?

I have been reading alot of flames on NSI and not releasing domain names. I have been hovering over two that just are not being put back out as available, yet they are no longer owned (been three months now I believe). I've read grumbling here also on the same note.
I am sure one of the pros here will be able to give you more exact information though.
