once you touch the godaddy there is no other. netsol can spend their millions in pop-up advertisements. The only reason I go to their site is to see if domains are available and other suggestions then i head right back over to godaddy! I also have a bulkregister account though too

I've been using namebargain. Are there any benefits of godaddy over namebargain? I've been really pleased with them.

I use RegisterFly, easy to use and offers suggestions, although the suggestions are getting worse lately...

I have 50 domains, most purchased through GoDaddy. They are so good I transferred all of my others there. Been with them for about a year and no complaints so far. Even used customer service a couple of times and it was good.

I use 000.domains.com a Tucows reseller. Easiest interface around and return *personal* email response within a couple of hours. I send my AOLers there and they have no problem using it. I've got one domain with godaddy who have a great reputation, but I did have one problem. The email was changed (different ISP) and credit card info was changed. I had to wade through tons of automated responses, it took about 12 hours of my time to finally get through to a live person. But that was unusual. Had an old copy of credit card info not been found, it could have lost the domain. That was for changing DNS information.

I don't personally like automated responses. Make sure and keep a record of the last 4 numbers of the credit card used with them and make email changes right away - it was *murder* getting that changed with the autoresponders.

Better at absolutely refusing every single transfer away request?

Better at slamming the phone down on you if you even dare to phone them when they have refused to answer your emails?

Better at letting your domain lapse when you have valid credit card information on file and you have asked them to renew?

Let's put it this way, if it were between Joker and NetSol, I'd pick NetSol. And I think that most of us here know what we think of NetSol!

Interesting comment of C H C, about joker.com, i have also heard similar comments about Godaddy.

I haven't used either of them, these stories about transfers away are all over the various forums.

Even Register.com does not hinder a transfer these days, most transfers are automated now so there should not be as many problems in this day and age.

Having said that it's easier to direct the buyer to an in house transfer if it's a one off transfer, then the registrar is only to willing to help.

Did some one ask for the best place to register names, with price, easy admin, customer support.
